As NFT art and crypto currency becomes popular worldwide, poets are equally searching for a better method to participate. PoemWiki, as the leading platform in China for independent poets to share works and for readers to follow writers they admire, aims to establish an ecosystem for digital poetry through NFT poems.
The base version application is living within WeChat, which adds limitations and additional design guidelines to conform.
The existing user group is highly diverse and consists a mixture of poets and readers.

From the very beginning, a versatile re-branding and design system is in need to launch the product in a more agile manner. A full set of component library and style guide is built in Figma for quick product.
To preserve the original reading experience, NFT trading feature is decided to be added through a more discrete manner for phase 1 launch. Using the bright color palette to add accent on the original interface to direct the users to discover the NFT poems.
One of the most important aspect of the trading platform is its fluidity between purchasing and selling. The listing process of a collected NFT piece is designed to be simple with minimal clicks to allow users successfully list the NFT poems on their mobile device in just seconds.
The feature of exchange and gifting NFT poems is set to launch in future updates. The logic of recognizing the action "gifting" as an exchange without demanding a NFT for return has simplified the process and helped relief the developing stress.
Currently the launching date is set on March 1st for the first public release after two rounds of internal testing. The first simplified version 1.0 aims to gather more feedback on the reaction of existing users to allow adjustments before implementing the mint and exchange features. Stay tuned to see it live in Wechat!
